Heading North

last day in Sydney

-17 °C

With the new found freedom realized with the car Nick and I have been all over the Sydney area. Today we drove up and stopped at all of the Northern beaches from Manly to Palm. Manly is the most crowded and most touristy, but we saw a womens international surfing contest in which Nick "apparently" knew some of the girls... or had at least heard of them. Unfortunately along with the realization on freedom came the realization of petrol prices of this crazy country and the not to good millage that the 1986 beast achieves. Tonight we thought about driving 13 blocks to return a movie downtown and quickly voted against it. I was going to post some great photos of the beaches but the files are too big, I've already uploaded 20% of my monthly allowance so I'm gonna start taking smaller pictures for this site while keepin some big ones for coming home on the big screen.
Tomorrow we leave with a friend of Nick's named Pete who's gonna help us fix up the car. Internet cafes are way more available so keep checking, I promise to do a way better time than in Scotland.

Brock it sounds like you're having an awesome time! I'm glad to see you finally shaved, I heard you hadn't since you were here in DC. The pictures are great, cool that it works now. Keep us posted on your shoe adventures too.

We miss you a lot!

Hey Brock!

Great picture. I know you will have a blast. I should have warned you about the petrol prices, but oh well, I doubt if that will stop you. If you get a chance and it works out stop in on Ron as you go through Brisbane. If not, no worries. Can't wait to see more photos.
All the best,
-ed
